The best hotels in Rome for families in 2024
Finding a family-friendly hotel is never easy. The options are typically limited to squeezing in a single rollaway (not helpful for your two teenagers?!) or booking two separate rooms and splitting your family.
You’re faced with the same issue when trying to find a family-friendly hotel in Italy! Many families opt for an Airbnb instead, but I know the guaranteed cleanliness of a luxury hotel (and the buffet breakfast) is enticing so I asked travelling parents where they’ve loved staying with their families here, and these are their recommendations.
Top family-friendly hotels in Rome
There’s no need to book two connecting rooms at this hotel thanks to their dedicated family rooms. The convenience comes with quite a price tag though for the contemporary rooms, particularly considering the location. It’s a 20 minute walk to Trevi Fountain, an hour to the Vatican. Thankfully the metro is nearby to save your feet!
Price point: €700+ per night
A boutique art hotel featuring a different theme on each floor- one of which is completely dedicated to photography- so take a guess which my favourite is! The location couldn’t be better for a couple of nights in Rome. You’ll be at the Colosseum within fifteen minutes (on foot) and for the evening, it’s just a short walk over the river and you’ll be in Trastevere- the perfect place for dinner.
An extra bed can be added to some of their rooms, or if your budget allows, opt for a suit on the fifth floor which have two rooms and incredibly views from the private terrace.
Price point: €500+ per night
