Langhe Accommodation Recommendation: Casa Di Langa
If you’re a foodie planning a trip to Piemonte, no doubt you’re including the Langhe in your itinerary. Other than during the International Alba White Truffle Fair, trips to these hills are often visited as a day-trip from Turin or Asti on a wine tour. The world-class Barolo that’s made here is worth the effort, but with the recent opened of Casa Di Langa, you can now enjoy a more relaxed and thorough visit of The Langhe.
I first visited the hotel to photograph a Brazilian couple in one of 39-rooms, and I can say, the five star hotel is absolutely spectacular. It operates on 100 percent renewable energy, is plastic free, and recycles all of the water used to irrigate its vineyards.
You’ll be a short drive, or Ape Tour to the prestigious wineries making the likes of Barolo, Barbera, Barbaresco and Dolcetto.
Being in the heart of the Langhe you’re certainly not short on dining options however if the idea of simply walking up to your room appeals, you are in luck because on-site Fàula Restaurant does not disappoint.
Found in the Michelin Guide, Fàula Restaurant has floor to ceiling windows to take in the stunning panorama, a walk-in wine cellar with a wide selection to compliment your chosen plates which are traditional Piemontese dishes with a modern twist.
Vacations can’t always be go-go-go, so when you’re ready to relax, there’s a boarded walk on the 42 hectare property which winds through the hazelnut groves, and an exceptional spa to properly treat yourself.
The concierge team at Casa Di Langa work with local service providers to make your trip even more memorable. They can hire you a Vespa, organise a cooking class, or help you book a photoshoot with Classico Portraits although I recommend booking a planning call for your photoshoot well before you leave home. That way we can truly design the photoshoot to suit you and your home.
