Your dog is your world. I get it, mine is too. We wouldn’t trust just anyone with them. You want your photographer to truly love animals so that they are patient and calm during the photoshoot. Pee on my camera bag and puppy bites are all so normal to me that I don’t even blink about it.

How does a pet photo session like this work?
It’s super relaxed and I guide you through the whole process
Step 1.
GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER
The goal is for you and your dog to have a lovely afternoon that represents your relationship so that in weeks, months and years to come- these photos remind you of the special bond you have.
We’ll custom design a session that truly represents your relationship. That starts with a quick Zoom call.
Step 2.
THE PHOTOSHOOT
We let your session flow naturally, directed by your dog! You’ll spend an hour or so walking, playing and cuddling your dog.
I photograph in a non-intrusive way that offers just the right amount of guidance. You’ll feel confident, but not overwhelmed.. and your dog will have the best day ever.
Step 3.
ARTWORK CONSULTATION CALL
Within 6 weeks of your photoshoot, we’ll jump on a Zoom call to plan your artwork. Your first 10 photos are included as digital files, and if you love more, you can purchase extras!
You’ll also have a $500 artwork credit to order your favourite for the wall.

Hi, I’m Kirstie
Specialist pet photographer
I basically grew up on horse back, and if I wasn’t in the paddock, then I was most likely teaching our blue heeler new tricks. My love for animals doesn’t stop at my own though, which is why I’ve spent a decade photographing (and cuddling) the adored pets of Australia with their families (both adults and tiny humans!) under Bitsa Bernard Photography.
You may noticed when we meet that I completely ignore your dog- no matter how much I want to cuddle them, it’s important that we let them choose when that time is. This little trick is one of many that I have to ensure that your dog is relaxed, and we can capture the most natural portraits of them for you.
